Week 12
+16 in Ireland and -16 at home |
Week 12 started with an VR exam and our final group work. This was also our last week together on Ireland. I am still finding hard to process that almost three months have passed. I have gained a lot of new expericnes but I am sad about everything that I have missed out on in Finland. The realisation that life has moved on while I was away.

Overall the exhange has been a positive experience. I was able to work in a shopital for weeks in another language. I was able to handle everything else too from phone calls to SVUH emergency room. I have also learned a lot about Ireland's history and how things can be done differently from what I am used to.

This week I kearned about FOMO - fear of missing out. Fear of missing out on our last nights together, missing out on everything I had planned. How come it is already week 12 and I have yet to have fish and chips or visit the umbrellas at Anne's lane, the most instagrammable spot in Dublin? Was my Erasmus-experience the best possible I made it out to be? Maybe I should have tried harder to socialise and try more things. Or maybe it was just fine. Atleast Ireland isn't sinking like Venice so maybe I'll give Ireland another try when the housing crisis has passed.
